From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near.
(Mark 13:18)
And as summer nears, thoughts turn to all sorts of fun activities – ball games and cook-outs, hiking and biking, day trips and vacations. But busy summer schedules make it easy to fall out of the rhythm of regular worship attendance. As a consequence, church offerings decline during the summer months.
So while you are having fun in the sun, please help your parish to avoid the "summer slump" and continue to fulfill your pledge of support.
