Congressman Jason Altmire will describe his role in the rescue of 54 orphans after the earthquake in Haiti, when he speaks at Christ Episcopal Church in the North Hills, this Sunday, February 7, 2010.
Representative Altmire is a member of Christ Church. He represents Pennsylvania’s 4th Congressional District and was instrumental in mobilizing senior officials in the American and Haitian governments to allow the children to come to Pittsburgh. He was on the ground in Port-au-Prince when the orphans were evacuated.
His presentation will begin at approximately 11:30 a.m. in the Undercroft (lower level) of Christ Church. All are welcome. Christ Episcopal Church is located at 5910 Babcock Blvd at Browns Lane, behind the Northway Mall.
