Kicking off the 24th season
Using themes inspired by notable authors, musicians, and key figures whose lives coincide with the second Sunday of each month, the historic Emmanuel Episcopal Church presents a series of creative services featuring great jazz music and inspiration readings. Each service starts at 5 p.m.
September 9 – The Kingdom of God is Within You featuring the works of Tolstoy, Gandhi, M. L. King & Coltrane.
October 14 – The Enormous Room or "i thank you God for the most amazing…" featuring works inspired by ee cummings.
November 11 – Living it Forward featuring Kierkegaard: "Life must be understood backwards, but it must be lived forward," St. Martin of Tours, Lucretia Mott, Nat Turner & M. L. King.
