A primary task for our churches in the Diocese of Pittsburgh is rebuilding. Central to that effort is attracting, keeping and incorporating newcomers. With this thought in mind, the Diocese has invited Anne Rudig, the Director of Communications for the Episcopal Church, and other people to be with us on February 12 to share some of the trends and opportunities available today to assist us in that task.
That day is the normal day for the quarterly Leadership Meeting . This gathering involved all members of the Standing Committee, Diocesan Council and Board of Trustees plus the chairs of all committees and commissions. Because this topic touches all of our congregations, for this meeting only we are expanding this gathering to include every warden and other interested vestry persons from all of our congregations to join us. We believe information obtained that day will be useful as our congregations go about the task of rebuilding.
