Introduction

Diocese of Pittsburgh parishes have not been immune to the destruction caused by natural disasters.  This exhibit focuses on five parishes that dealt with church-destroying disasters and rebuilt, in some cases more than once.  They are not the only parishes that faced disasters in our diocesan history, but their experiences remind us that churches and communities rebuilding after a disaster is nothing new.  You can navigate this exhibit by clicking on the forward and back arrows, or skip to either the section on a particular kind of disaster  or to a specific Church.
