Pittsburgh women gather at the home of Mrs. Felix Brunot to form the Female Prayer Book Society, elect officers, adopt governing documents and appoint contacts in ten parishes. Their goal is to supply mission parishes with the Book of Common Prayer. This is the first church-related society formed in the western part of the diocese.
