Diocesan Transitions, August, 2018

Effective May 9, 2018, the Rev. William Ogburn has transferred his canonical residency from the Diocese of Pittsburgh to the Diocese of New York, where he is serving as Associate Rector of the Church of St. Luke in the Fields in the West Village neighborhood of Manhattan.
The Rev. Doug Kinsey has been named Assisting Priest of Nativity, Crafton, and Pastor of St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church (ELCA), Crafton.
The Rev. Brandon Mozingo has been named Deacon-in-Charge of St. Stephen’s, McKeesport, effective July 1, 2018. He was previously serving at Trinity Cathedral, where he and Jessica Hauth were married on June 3, 2018.
The Board of Directors of Pittsburgh Theological Seminary voted at their annual meeting in May to elect the Rev. Nancy Chalfant-Walker to serve as a Board Member. She is a 2002 graduate of the seminary, and serves as Rector of St. Stephen’s, Wilkinsburg.
Bishop McConnell has appointed the Rev. Natalie Hall as ecumenical and interreligious officer for the Diocese of Pittsburgh, to serve a three-year term ending in December 2020.
While serving as a Deputy from the Diocese of Pittsburgh to the General Convention of The Episcopal Church, Mr. Michael Braxton was elected to the Board of Trustees of General Seminary in New York City. Mr. Braxton, a member of Calvary, East Liberty, has served on the diocesan Constitution and Canons Committee and was also a Deputy to General Convention in 2015.
The Rev. Huett Fleming retired as Rector of Good Shepherd, Hazelwood, on April 30, 2018, having served there since 1998. Fr. Fleming previously served as Interim Rector at St. Stephen’s, McKeesport.
