In preparation for the Special Convention of the Episcopal Diocese of Pittsburgh in the Episcopal Church scheduled for December 13, 2008, we are seeking nominations for the elections to be held on that day.
Convention deputies will be voting for:
General Convention deputies, Standing Committee, Board of Trustees, Array, Committee on Canons, Cathedral Chapter, and Growth Fund Committee. We are seeking both lay people and clergy nominees for all offices, except for the Board of Trustees, which is made up of lay people.
We are asking for your help in identifying persons who would be willing to be nominated, including yourself. Enclosed is a form for nominations which should be submitted by individuals who are interested in serving the diocese in this way. The form can be copied or can be downloaded and printed from the website, www.episcopalpgh.org. Please note that the form should include the signature of a nominee’s Rector, or Senior Warden in the absence of a Rector. Information provided on the form will be shared with the Convention deputies as they prepare to vote. The forms should be returned as soon as possible. The deadline has been extended to December 11, 2008.
We are grateful for your help as we move forward together in reorganizing the Episcopal Diocese of Pittsburgh.
If you have any questions, please contact either The Rev. Leslie Reimer at 412 661-0120 or the Rev. Bruce Robison at 412 661-1245.
Faithfully yours,
The Nominating Committee
