The 47th Triennial Meeting of the Episcopal Church Women on Saturday honored Dana Phillips from St. Thomas, Oakmont, with a Distinguished Woman Award.
This award goes to a woman "whose life in the secular community reflected her Christian values."
"When Dana's name was offered as our Distinguished Woman, the [positive] response was unanimous. Dana's inspiring guidance was a great blessing through Pittsburgh's troubles," said the award presentation program.
Bishop Price and Bishop-Elect McConnell escorted Dana to receive the award.
